Music of the Month - April

A bit premature I know, but I already know that this album will be the winner of this segment that I just created just now, 'Music of the Month'.

Basically I just talk about an album that I have really loved listening to throughout the month. It doesn't necessarily have to be a new album, just something that I have been enjoying.

This months winner is Tom Misch and his incredible album 'Geography' which has only been out for 13 days and the songs combined have already been played over 25,000,000 times on Spotify alone. The mix of disco, hip-hop and jazz beats gives a song for any mood that you could be feeling.

'Lost in Paris' is the perfect song to open the album and gives us a little taste of both the jazz, hip-hop and disco feels that will shine later through the album, the feature of GoldLink is perfect for the feels of this song.

The cover of Stevie Wonder's 'Isn't She Lovely' breaking up the album perfectly and strangely being my favourite song on the album, the rawness and lazy recording of the song is beautiful. Then there is silence for about 4 seconds until it is broken by the up-beat funky song, 'Disco Yes'.

All in all, 'Geography' is a very easy album to listen to can can be chucked on at anytime of the week and will not seem out of place. I can't wait to see what Misch gets up to next, after Coachella of course.
